Food Bank of Iowa

The Food Bank of Iowa has two partner locations in West Des Moines, Commerce Community Church and Eddie Davis Community Center. Check the website under mobile pantry calendar for days and times.  At each mobile pantry distribution, one of our trucks delivers a customized load of food—produce, meat, bread and non-perishable items are common—to the prearranged mobile pantry site. Local volunteers set up a distribution system that looks much like a farmers market, distributing food to families and individuals in need throughout the scheduled time. When the food is gone, volunteers reset the space to its original condition.
