Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)

The Veterans of Foreign Wars is an organization of U.S. war veterans, who, as military service members fought in wars, campaigns, and expeditions on foreign land, waters, or airspace.  They are the largest and oldest of the war veterans service organization, with the emphasis on providing vital assistance needed for veterans. The VFW has been instrumental in establishing the Veterans Administration, creating the GI Bill, the development of the national cemetery system, and fighting for compensation for Veterans with service induced health conditions.
